The cost of living is rising rapidly in many countries around the world. As a result, many are shopping less and saving energy to cope with the increased prices.
While people are engaging in these activities to save money, there is an environmental co-benefit. So, we conducted research to understand people’s attitudes towards sustainability in the current situation, and their engagement with green financing options.
Our research with over 2000 participants revealed:
- 49% believe a sustainable lifestyle is expensive.
- But when it comes to taking climate action, people are more motivated by carbon savings than financial savings information.
- 23% would like to hear more about green financing options from their bank.
